The Chicago Blackhawks will play their final game before the Christmas break on Friday when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets, Max Domi's former team.

After practice on Thursday, the Blackhawks players were asked what their plans were for the Christmas break and Max Domi decided to take a shot at the city he called home for parts of two seasons.

"I'm pretty excited, actually. My whole family's here. I was in Columbus for two years, so I didn't get many visitors. All of a sudden I'm in a nice city, so my whole family wants to come. I don't know if it's me or the city." Domi said according to Mark Lazerus of The Athletic.

Domi, 27, is having a solid season thus far with Chicago. In 31 games, he's recorded 21 points (ten goals, 11 assists), 37 penalty minutes and is a minus-11.

His time in Columbus, while it was short, might not have been that enjoyable for the former first-round pick. At times during his first season with the Blue Jackets, he found himself at odds with then-head coach John Tortorella, who benched him on several occasions and even made a healthy scratch for two games in April 2021.
