How are ya now? If you're a Letterkenny fan, chances are you understand that line. You'd also know that the show includes a fair amount of hockey taking place in the small, fictional Ontario town. Now, one of the shows most beloved secondary characters is getting a spinoff, and it looks like he's bringing some former NHLers with him.

Shorsey, played by Letterkenny co-creator and star Jared Keeso (who also plays Letterkenny main character Wayne) gets his own show beginning May 13th on Crave TV in Canada. In a teaser trailer released Friday, Shorsey is tasked with picking up three new players for his hockey team. All three just happened to be named Jim and would prefer not to be called anything else. Two of them are played by Jon "Nasty" Mirasty and Jordan Nolan. Mirasty never played in the NHL, but suited up for several seasons in the AHL and ECHL, where he was very well-known for doing his talking with his fists. Nolan played 375 regular season games in the NHL, most of them with the LA Kings, and won two Stanley Cups. He's also the son of former NHL coach Ted Nolan.

Meanwhile, "Hitch", who has a strong Newfoundland accent, is played by Newfoundlander Terry Ryan. Ryan was an eighth overall draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 1995, but managed just eight games in the NHL before an ankle injury ended his playing days. He's the person with the most acting experience out of the three of them, having appeared in a few TV shows and movies over the years. He also played the same character in the most recent season of Letterkenny.

Here's the teaser for the show. Also, for American fans, Shorsey will air on Hulu in the U.S. Brian «Rear Admiral» McGonagle of Spittin' Chiclets will also make some appearances in the inaugural season of Shorsey.
