Earlier on Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Lightning announced that they acquired forward Tye Felhaber from the Dallas Stars in exchange for Alexey Lipanov.

Now the team has announced a second minor deal of the day, this time with the Nashville Predators. The Lightning have added 25-year-old centerman Anthony Richard and sent forward Jimmy Huntington to the Predators.

Richard, a native of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, has spent the entire 2021-22 season in the American Hockey League with the Milwaukee Admirals. In 31 games, Richard has twelve points (seven goals, five assists), fourteen penalty minutes and is a minus-six.

Huntington, 23, was signed by the Lightning as an undrafted free agent out of the QMJHL in 2019. He's spent the entire 2021-22 season with Tampa Bay's AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch. In 27 games, he has twelve points (six goals, six assists), twenty-one penalty minutes and is a minus-four.

With the trade deadline coming up in just over six weeks, it appears that the Lightning may be gearing up for something big.
