Since being recalled from the American Hockey League by the Minnesota Wild earlier this month, Matthew Boldy has caught the attention of many with his outstanding play.

Boldy, who was taken 12th overall in the 2019 draft, began the 2021-22 season with the Iowa Wild, but was recalled after putting up 10 points in 10 games. Though he is just 20 years old, the offence has continued at the NHL level, as he has four goals and nine points through his first nine games in the league. That great play has impressed many, including general manager Bill Guerin, who on Monday told reporters that the young star in the making isn't going anywhere.

«Matt's here to stay,» Guerin said. «He's been told that.»

With Boldy in the lineup, the Wild have yet another offensive weapon on what was already a very talented team. With players like Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello lightning it up on the scoresheet every night, this team is not going to be a fun one to be matched up against come the postseason.
