Team Finland announced their final roster for the 2022 Winter Olympics on Thursday. Before we dive into their roster, let's take a look at their schedule for the upcoming Winter Games and look back at how they did at the 2018 Olympics in South Korea.

Finland will be in Group C for the 2022 Winter Olympics and will face off against Slovakia on February 10th, Latvia on February 11th, before wrapping up the preliminary round on February 13th against their arch-rival, Sweden.

They'll look to build off of what was a so-so performance at the 2018 Olympics in South Korea. Finland finished second in their group with two wins from three games and went into the playoff round where they defeated South Korea by a score of 5-2. Finland then lost in the quarter-finals to the eventual bronze medalists, Canada, 1-0.

Now for this year's roster which will include former NHLer's Valtteri Filppula, Leo Komarov and Sami Vatanen. One notable name omitted is Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Topi Niemela, who has had an outstanding season thus far with Karpat (Liiga) where he is second in points among defencemen with 26.
