Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced on Thursday that the province will begin its three-step reopening plan on Monday, January 31st.

When it comes to arenas, Doug Ford announced that they will be able to allow fans back also starting on January 31st at 500 or 50%, whichever is less. Then twenty-one days later, on February 21st, arenas will be able to allow fans at 50% capacity, and on March 14th arenas will go back to full capacity.

"We can be confident that the worst is behind us as we look to cautiously ease public health measures," Premier Doug Ford said Thursday. "We are now in a position to cautiously and gradually ease public health measures."

Prior to full reopening on March 14th, the Ottawa Senators are scheduled to play fifteen home games, while the Maple Leafs have ten. One day before arenas and venues go back to 100% capacity, the Maple Leafs and Sabres are set to play in the 2022 Heritage Classic at Tim Horton's Field in Hamilton. It's currently unclear what the restrictions will be for that game.
