Russian coach kicks junior player for not paying attention (w/video)

Here's something you don't see often, at least not in North America. Vladimir Gromilin is the head coach of Sarmaty Orenburg, a team in Russia's MHL, which is a U20 major junior league. Gromilin is a veteran behind the bench, serving in various coaching roles over the past 20+ years. The 56-year-old wasn't happy with one of his players during a game recently, and decided to give him a kick in the side after the two were having a discussion. It didn't appear that 19-year-old Yegor Razumnyak was paying much attention, so Gromilin decided to wake him up with a kick. It wasn't particularly hard, although it wasn't really a love tap either. The video is below. What do you think? Completely offside or do we need to see more of this stuff in North America?
