The Nashville Predators have struggled early in the year, and now those frustrations have begun boiling over at practice with a fight now taking place between two young players, showing just how bad this start to the season has been thus far.

After a summer in which they landed not one, not two but three stars in free agency, many believed this could be the year that the Predators took the step from Stanley Cup Playoffs team to genuine contender.

However, things couldn't have started worse for them, with a 6-11-3 record seeing them sit dead last in the Central Division, with tensions and frustrations surely beginning to mount.

On Friday, that seemingly all came to a head at practice, when reporters caught Luke Evangelista and Michael McCarron involved in a scuffle.

As Alex Daugherty points out, it wasn't a huge fight, but the fact that this is happening just 20 games into the season certainly isn't a good sign, as a team this talented should be humming along on their way to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

We haven't yet heard from Head Coach Andrew Brunette or GM Barry Trotz about the situation, but likely this will just be an instance chalked up to the passion of the players as they all work their hardest to fight out of this slump they've found themselves in.

With the likes of Steven Stamkos, Ryan O'Reilly, Filip Forsberg and Roman Josi, this team is laden with stars, but more importantly experienced ones, and if there's any group that can dig themselves out of a hole, it's this one.

For now though, we wait to hear more about this developing situation, as it's one that could certainly take a turn from bad to worse if it's not addressed or if the team continue to struggle.
