The Montreal Canadiens announced this morning that their practice scheduled for today has been cancelled for precautionary reasons.

Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports added that there are no positive tests among the team and that they were all tested once again this morning, with the results expected back later today. Montreal is also still scheduled to fly to New York tomorrow.

"The @CanadiensMTL decided to cancel practice for precautionary reasons. No new positive test as of right now. Players were tested again this morning and results are expected later. Trip to NY tomorrow is still scheduled," Lavoie said in a tweet.

Montreal was originally supposed to play their arch-rivals, the Boston Bruins, at the Bell Centre on Saturday night, in front of an empty arena. The NHL announced yesterday that the game was going to be postponed due to an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak affecting the Boston Bruins, who, as of Friday, had seven players in the league's protocol.

The Canadiens will be back in action on Monday night when they make their first trip to the newly-opened UBS Arena to face the Islanders.
