The St. Louis Blues announced on Wednesday that they've traded goaltender Jon Gillies to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for future considerations.

Gillies was signed by the Blues last week due to a positive COVID-19 test for Jordan Binnington and Ville Husso being out with a lower-body injury.

The 27-year-old only appeared in one game for the Blues where he recorded an overtime loss along with a 2.82 G.A.A., and a .923 save percentage. Gillies' start against the Ducks on December 12th was his first NHL appearance since the 2017-18 season when he played eleven games for the Calgary Flames.

St. Louis also announced that goaltender Jordan Binnington has been taken off the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list after missing seven games, and will join the team at practice on Thursday morning.

In 16 games this season, Binnington has a record of 8-5-3 with a 2.80 G.A.A., a .912 save percentage, and one shutout.
