Following Wednesday's practice, Montreal Canadiens head coach Dominique Ducharme gave updates on injured/absent players including Christian Dvorak, Brendan Gallagher, and Sami Niku.

Dvorak is out indefinitely after suffering a lower-body injury on December 7th against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Yesterday, the Canadiens officially made the move to place him on injured reserve and today said that he will be monitored and evaluated daily.

Nearly two weeks after testing positive for COVID-19, forward Brendan Gallagher and defenceman Sami Niku are no longer in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol. They didn't practice with the team today but will rejoin the team in the coming days.

It's also been announced that Josh Anderson will be out until February, at least.

The Canadiens will look to snap their seven-game losing streak on Thursday night when they host the Philadelphia Flyers. Puck drop is set for 7pm ET on TSN2 and RDS.
