According to Elliotte Friedman, Florida Panthers defenceman Kevin Connauton and Winnipeg Jets forward Riley Nash have been placed on waivers for the purpose of AHL assignment.

Connauton, 31, has appeared in thirteen games for the Florida Panthers, where he's recorded no points, two penalty minutes, and is a plus-four.

Nash, 32, has played in fifteen games for the Jets during the 2021-22 season, but has no points, four penalty minutes, and is a minus-one.

In addition to Connauton and Nash being placed on the waiver wire, former Senators forward Pontus Aberg has cleared unconditional waivers and is now a free agent. Aberg has decided to return to the Swedish Hockey League and signed with Timra IK.
