Coyotes refute report that the team is for sale and could relocate

A report from Forbes had surfaced early Thursday that had suggested that the Arizona Coyotes were once again for sale and that the intention was to have the team relocate to a brand new arena in Houston Texas.

Since that time, The Athletic's Craig Morgan has stated that, per multiple sources close to the team, that the report from Forbes is not accurate.

"I have already heard from a pair of well-placed sources telling me that there is no truth to the Forbes report about the Coyotes being for sale with the intention of relocating them to Houston," Morgan tweeted shortly before 11am.

Morgan had also requested a statement on the matter directly from the organization, which he received and shared on Twitter a short time later.

"This is false. Totally false. We're not selling. We're not moving. The Coyotes are 100 percent committed to playing in Arizona," said a team spokesperson.

Well, I guess that settles that.
