News coming from Forbes and TSN on Thursday suggests that the Arizona Coyotes are for sale once again and they the plan might be for the new owner to relocate the team.

The Coyotes have been one of the league's biggest financial liabilities since the team moved from Winnipeg to Phoenix in 1996.

The franchise has had a tough run in the desert, and despite a multitude of signs that an NHL team would not work in Arizona, when current owner Alex Meruelo had taken over as majority owner in 2019, he vowed to do whatever it took to keep the team there.

A recent rift between the city of Glendale, the Gila River Arena and the Coyotes has left the Yotes without a home arena for the 2022-23 season, as the city had determined that it can profit more from hosting other events at Gila River Arena, such as concerts, than it can generate from 40+ NHL home games.

It looks as though the plan, as of this moment, is to have a new Arena built for the team in Houston, Texas.
