Evander Kane of the San Jose Sharks has decided to make his own statement after a video surfaced Wednesday night of him holding a gun against his estranged wife Anna. Anna put the video out on her Instagram account, but has since deleted it as it violates a court order that she is not to talk about Evander on her accounts. It seems the video required context that was not given by Anna.

According to Kane's agent, the video was part of a consensual photo shoot that the couple decided to have done in 2020. The gun was a fake and no one was ever in any danger. Anna has been ordered by the court to undergo a psychological assessment and Evander has retained full custody of their 16-month-old daughter.

After the video surfaced and was deleted, Kane took to his Twitter account to slag those who shared it.

"They never report the facts with the same conviction and flare," said Kane. "They don't dare want to mess up that narrative with actual due diligence or facts."

"How do people have the time and energy to waste going to someone's social media page to type up some pointless negative comment," Kane continued. "It sounds exhausting. More positive vibes might help your own life, just a suggestion."

This isn't the first time Kane has had issues with his wife on social media. A few months ago, she took to her Instagram account and accused him of betting on NHL games and even games he played in, which would be a huge no-no. The NHL investigated and said it could find no evidence this ever happened.
