Toronto Maple Leafs sniper Auston Matthews has officially done away with his trademark mustache, making good on a promise he made for a Movember fundraiser.
Matthews' stache has been a staple for several seasons now, and to see him without it, it's almost unnatural. But it is all in the name of men's health, which is important. You can see the before and after below.
Matthews was able to raise more than $134,000 in the month of November which will go to the Movember Foundation - an organization created to raise funds and awareness for men's health, including prostate, testicular and mental health.
The 24-year-old has bounced back quote well after a slow start following offseason wrist surgery. Through 20 games, Matthews has scored 10 goals and 19 points, good for 3rd in team scoring behind only William Nylander and captain John Tavares, despite playing less games.
Matthews' first post-mustache game will take place on Wednesday as the Leafs play host to the Colorado Avalanche, who are set to welcome Nathan MacKinnon back to the lineup after missing 8 games.
