Braden Holtby makes three incredible saves on his way to setting new NHL record (w/video)

Braden Holtby may not be as high profile as he once was in the NHL, but the Dallas Stars goaltender showed Monday night that he still has it. Holtby made 39 saves to get a 4-1 win over Carolina, but it was a series of three stops in the final minute of the third that has everyone talking.

Holtby faced a barrage of shots, and somehow managed to keep all of them out. At one point, he stuck up his left for a scorpion-style save that was just incredible. Here's the sequence:

Following the game, it was announced that Holtby had made NHL history by having the most wins in his first 500 NHL games than any goaltender before him. His record is 293-137-50.
