It has been a rough go of things for the Ottawa Senators lately, as they were forced to postpone three games due to a COVID-19 outbreak amongst the players. They have not suited up since last Sunday when they were defeated 4-0 against the Calgary Flames.

Thankfully, their players are starting to get back to health, and as a result their schedule is slowly returning to normal, as they are set to practice Saturday. This is great news as it means that they will likely not have to postpone any more games, which could have either resulted in a longer NHL season or potentially forced the league to not have players attend the 2022 Winter Olympics.

The Senators had a total of 10 players on the NHL's COVID protocol list this week in Connor Brown, Alex Formenton, Dylan Gambrell, Austin Watson, Drake Batherson, Josh Brown, Nick Holden, Victor Mete, Nikita Zaitsev, and Matt Murray. Associate coach Jack Capuano is also on the list and is currently isolating.
