Adam Brooks heading out West following waiver claim

Adam Brooks' very brief stint with the Montreal Canadiens is officially over according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports. Lavoie says that the Vegas Golden Knights have claimed Brooks off waivers from Montreal today.

Brooks, 25, was claimed off waivers from by Montreal from the Toronto Maple Leafs back on October 11th. He played a total of four games for the Canadiens, tallying one assist, no penalty minutes, and was a minus-one.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native will now join an injury depleted Vegas Golden Knights forward group. The Golden Knights are currently without forwards, Max Pacioretty, William Karlsson, Jack Eichel, Nolan Patrick, William Carrier, and Jonathan Marchessault.

Vegas will be back in action on Thursday night when they host the Detroit Red Wings.
