Not much went right for the Vancouver Canucks Thursday night after the team was absolutely battered by the Colorado Avalanche 7-1. Neither team is playing all that well at the moment, but following the game, Vancouver's Bo Horvat said he and his teammates have some soul-searching to do.

"We should be embarrassed," said Horvat.

"We didn't show any sign of response or anything."

"It's unacceptable."

"You still have to find ways to compete... stay in the fight. We didn't have that tonight," he continued.

Meanwhile, a lot of focus during the Canucks' recent woes has been on coach Travis Green. He said after the game that he wasn't worried that his message to the players isn't being heard.

"We've got a lot of guys that need to show their character and respond the next game with a much better effort," said Green.

"[The Avalanche] look like a team that's trying to figure out their game, trying to win the Stanley Cup. We look like a team that's a half-step behind."

"We had a lot of guys that weren't very good tonight," he added.

Asked which period had him more concerned, the first or the second, Green had this to say:

"We weren't very good in the third either."
