He might be just three years old, but Sergei Ovechkin already looks like he's going to be a regular in the hockey world. Of course, it helps to have great teachers. "Ovi jr." hit the ice Sunday with his dad, Alexander Ovechkin, and Tom Wilson to brush up on some pointers. In the first video below, you can watch him take a pass from Wilson and put the puck in the net.

In the next one, it looks like the empty net practice wasn't good enough, so Ilya Samsonov takes his spot between the pipes while Ovi jr. snipes one.

It's awesome to see Ovechkin's teammates get so involved, and appear to have great fun, helping Sergei learn the basics of hockey. He comes from a long-line of excellent athletes as his grandmother was a two-time Olympic gold medalist in basketball, while his grandfather played professional soccer until an injury ended his career. With any luck, young Sergei will get to eventually see his dad become the most prolific goal scorer in NHL history.
