There was a bit of a scary moment for the Montreal Canadiens and their fans Tuesday night when Jonathan Drouin took a puck to the side of the head in the first period of the team's game against the Detroit Red Wings. There is video below, but Drouin left the ice immediately and did not return to the game. It was said he had been taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. The Habs provided an update Wednesday.

"[Coach] Dominique Ducharme mentions that Jonathan Drouin is doing well," said Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports on Twitter. "He doesn't have a concussion at this time. Will be evaluated again tomorrow."

It's certainly great news that Drouin did not suffer a concussion in the incident. He did manage to leave the ice without any help, but the pace in which he left made it evident that he knew something was wrong. It looks like he won't be out a long time, but we'll have to wait for another update from the team itself to know for sure.
