February 24th, 2022 will be a historical night for the Nashville Predators and, more specifically, former goaltender Pekka Rinne, who spent his entire 15-year NHL career with the organization before hanging up his pads earlier this year.

Per the team's official Twitter account, the Preds are set to retire Rinne's number 35 on that night, making the 39-year-old the first player in franchise history to have his number retired.

Rinne was originally drafted by the organization in the 8th round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft (258th overall) and appeared in 683 career regular season NHL games and 89 career NHL playoff games.

The Kempele, Finland native is a 3-time NHL All-Star and a former Vezina Trophy winner (2017-18) and took home the King Clancy Memorial Trophy last season for his dedicated leadership and extensive work within the community.

Congrats to Rinne on a stellar NHL career and on being the first Nashville Predator in the franchise's 23-year history to see his number raised to the rafters at Bridgestone Arena.
