On Thursday morning, news broke that Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price was voluntarily entering the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program.

Since the announcement from the NHL, many fans have shown support for Price. A pair of his former teammates Tomas Plekanec and Dale Weise took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon to show their support.

"I've known @CP0031 for long time. I was proud to call him my teammate! I have the utmost respect for his decision. No question Carey will come back even stronger. I wish him all the best, and I can't wait to see him back happy and healthy! @CanadiensMTL @ByAngelaPrice @NHLPA @NHL" Plekanec said.

Dale Weise tweeted, "Thoughts go out to @CP0031 and his family. The amount of people this will impact and help by a guy of this magnitude coming out and saying he needs help will be astronomical! One of the best teammates and people I have ever played with. People including myself have no idea what It's like to be Carey price. The weight and pressure he has had to carry for so long is unimaginable and the way he has done it has been incredible. All the best and can't wait to see @CP0031 back when ready! #mentalhealth #strong"

Our thoughts and support are with Carey Price and his family at this time. We hope to see him back on the ice as soon as he feels ready.
