The Montreal Canadiens announced on Wednesday that they've signed assistant coach Alexandre Burrows to a three-year contract extension that will run until after the 2023-24 season.

Montreal now has their entire coaching staff locked up until 2024. In July, the team announced that head coach Dominique Ducharme and assistant coach Luke Richardson also signed three-year contracts, and then added Trevor Letowski as an assistant coach.

Burrows, 40, immediately became a coach once he announced his retirement from the NHL. He was an assistant for the Canadiens AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket in 2018-19 and 2019-20, before being promoted to Montreal just shortly after Laval's 2021 season began.

The Pincourt, Quebec native spent 13 seasons in the NHL with Vancouver and Ottawa. In 913 career games, Burrows had 409 points (205 G, 204 A), 1,134 penalty minutes, and was a +104.
