Gostisbehere was left exposed in the Seattle expansion draft but was ultimately passed over by GM Ron Francis. Gostisbehere had an excellent year on the blueline in Philly in 2017-18, scoring 13 goals and recording 65 points. However, he has seen his offense drop dramatically since then, managing just nine goals and 20 points last season while spending some time as a healthy scratch.
Gostisbehere has two years left on his current contract that carries an annual cap hit of $4.5 million. He was a third round draft choice of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2012. In 381 NHL regular season games, he has 60 goals and 219 points.
