Several months have passed since the tragic passing of Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau, and Madeline has taken to social media with a very sad post.

Matthew and his brother, Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau, died in a road accident on August 29 in Oldmans Township, New Jersey.

The brothers were in town for their younger sister's wedding when they were struck by a car, allegedly by a drunk driver while cycling.

«Tripp and I talk about you every day. Miss you,» Madeline wrote.

The memory of her husband, with whom she has a three-month-old son named Tripp, born in December, is kept alive by Madeline.

The hockey fraternity also deeply mourned Johnny, who left behind wife Meredith, expecting their third child, in addition to their two other children.

Their family and the hockey world have come together as siblings Kristin and Katie, along with parents Guy and Jean, frequently share memories of them online.

Tributes have included a Dec. 21 pre-game ceremony by the Philadelphia Flyers in which players wore the brothers' high school jerseys and the establishment of the Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau High School Hockey Championships MVP Award.

The brothers had led Gloucester Catholic High School to its first state title in 2010. His junior team, the Dubuque Fighting Saints, also retired the jersey of Johnny on Dec. 11. For this, his wife Meredith was thankful.

«Thank you fightingsaints for a really touching tribute game and awesome win!!! - Dubuque is a big piece of John's hockey journey and somewhere I've always wanted to see because I know how much this city means to John. So much love for this organization", Meredith captioned.

Madeline and Meredith continue to support each other, reminding each other of memories and sending messages to keep up the spirit of their loved ones.
