Team USA scored a huge win over Team Canada to pick up first place in Group A at the World Juniors, and now star Cole Hutson has roasted their rival after the game, with many calling Team USA the dominant force in international hockey after the win.

After years of domination, Team USA won the World Juniors tournament in 2024, and on New Years Eve, they scored a major upset over their biggest rivals in a statement making victory.

That 4-1 win has led many Team USA supporters to claim they are now the best in the world, and given Team Canada's struggles and earlier loss to Latvia in the tournament, they may not be wrong.

Now, Team USA star Cole Hutson has roasted their biggest rival, claiming that nothing is better than beating Canada, who have long been the dominant force in the sport of hockey.

Beating them in their own home country, I don't think it gets much better than that

In the matchup, Hutson, a Washington Capitals prospect picked up a goal and an assist in the victory, taking his tally to 2 goals and 6 points in 4 games played thus far at the tournament, putting his name up there as one of the best thus far in 2025.

During the game, Hutson drew the ire of the fans in attendance in Ottawa, hitting this taunting celly as Team USA pulled away for good in a very competitive matchup.

Ultimately though, the tournament isn't over for Canada, as they have the opportunity to come back and win gold with a win over Czechia and their semi-final opponent if it gets that far, but for now, it's hard to see anyone but the confident Team USA squad coming away with gold.
