John Tortorella Lashes Out At Reporter That Asks Question About Former Flyer Cutter Gauthier

The Philadelphia Flyers went through plenty of drama with Cutter Gauthier a year ago, and when asked about him, John Tortorella reacted exactly how you'd expect given the way that things went down a season ago.

Last season, one of the stories of the NHL was the trade of Cutter Gauthier, who demanded out of Philadelphia in dramatic circumstances before ultimately being traded to the Anaheim Ducks.

After the deal, he was called out by Head Coach John Tortorella, and now, the two teams will be meeting for the first time since the trade took place back in January.

Unsurprisingly, Tortorella was asked about Gauthier before the matchup, with the former Flyers top prospect revealing before the game that he had this one circled on the calendar for quite some time.

Given the hard feelings that were involved in the original trade request and subsequent deal, it's no shock that Tortorella isn't too happy answering questions about the situation.

Thankfully in the full quote, for all those fans out there wondering, Tortorella revealed that he had a fantastic Christmas break, and while he's not interested in answering questions about Gauthier, he appeared upbeat for the rest of his press conference.

Ultimately, it appears that this is a rivalry that could go on for quite some time, especially given how Gauthier acted on the way out of Philadelphia, and while most fans don't feel as strongly about the situation as he does anymore, it's safe to say that we'll no doubt hear about this for years to come.
