Three Teams Emerge as Likely Trade Partners for the Boston Bruins Per Numerous Sources
The Boston Bruins heave been linked to the Columbus Blue Jackets, Anaheim Ducks and Utah HC in trade rumors, but Jim Montgomery may be in trouble as well.
It is clear what is going on in Boston based on all the recent rumors. People are starting to panic. How the team has played does not match the team's vision for how this season would be going and it is starting to show.
In the latest rumors, Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy reports that the team has been in communication with three teams, the Blue Jackets, Ducks, and Utah. He even revealed that Columbus is 'interested' in Brandon Carlo.
However, another NHL source claimed that the Bruins were also talking to the Utah Hockey Club and the Anaheim Ducks."
Murphy also reported last week that the Bruins are looking for another center. Could they get one from one of these teams?
In addition to trade rumors, head coach Jim Montgomery is feeling the heat. It almost feels like he is giving up too based on recent comments made after the team's loses. After a loss against the Senators he said the problem with the team is simple.
«It's up to you guys to figure that out, come up with the reason. We just weren't good enough. You guys can write, but what you think is the malaise on the team, and what's going on? We're just not playing well enough.»
On Saturday, Montgomery's post-game remarks echoed the same sentiment. When asked about the team's energy level, he admitted that they ran out of gas, but he could not think of a good reason as to why that would be.
These are comments made by a frustrated coach. As much as the Bruins management may be loosing their patience with him, it sounds like he might be loosing his patients with his players.
