After 14 years in the league, Tyler Seguin has announced that he and his wife Kate are finally expecting their first child next year.
Tyler Seguin has had a long and illustrious career in the NHL. After being part of the Stanley Cup-winning Boston Bruins team in 2011, he has played another 13 years in the league. He recently went on a close run in the playoffs with the Dallas Stars before being taken out in 6 by the Edmonton Oilers during the Western Conference Finals.
"History in the making! 🏒 After 18 years, the Edmonton Oilers are back in the Stanley Cup Finals, defeating the Dallas Stars 4-2 in the series. #LetsGoOilers! 🎉 #StanleyCupFinals #EdmontonOilers"
However, it seems his mind may be focused on something bigger than the NHL during the upcoming season. Tyler and Kate Seguin have announced that they are officially expecting their first child together in January of next year.
"Half of you & half of me. Baby Seguin arriving January 2025! 🍼🥹🤰🏼#babyseggy"
This news has taken the rest of social media by storm. Whether it be about the player's age or character, many Tyler Seguin fans are surprised, bewildered, or simply poking fun at the major life update in the Dallas forward's family.
"Today, something I've been waiting to see every time I open instagram was announced. Tyler Seguin is gonna be a dad. Please keep me in your thoughts while I navigate this new reality."
As with most people, family will likely take the front seat for Tyler Seguin. Hopefully, this change in his life will help him mentally in the upcoming season. Regardless, we hope you can join us in congratulating the Seguins on their soon-to-be child.
