Patrick Montgomery, a staple for the Oshawa Generals, has passed away at age 42. Andrieana Montgomery sadly passed too.

A 30-year-old man is facing murder charges after fatally shooting Patrick and Andrieana on Saturday. The crime happened at 12:35 p.m. Police were called to the area, but sadly, Andrieana had already died in the home, and Patrick was rushed to hospital, where he sadly passed away in the ambulance. Officers did say the shooter was known to both victims.

A personal note:

These are my friends of 30 years going way back to grade 9.

My friends and I are still trying to wrap our minds around this senseless tragedy but I wanna say this: Pat Montgomery was an absolute gem and an @Oshawa_Generals legend.

Patrick played three seasons for the Oshawa Generals from 1999 until 2002. During those seasons, he scored a total of 18 goals and had 20 assists.

Condolences go out to all of Pat and Andrieana's families, and here's hoping the investigation leads to the accused being behind bars for life.
