Sometimes even your best efforts just don't get the job done. In Friday night's game between Vegas and LA, Kings' goaltender Jonathan Quick made what appeared to be a really nice glove save on a Max Pacioretty backhander in front of the net. However, the officials decided to review it and while Quick did manage to catch the puck, his glove was clearly behind the line, meaning it's a good goal. Check it out:

Unfortunately for Quick, if his glove hand had been just an inch or so further ahead, that would have been a save. But, the goal counted and the Golden Knights would go on to win the game 4-2. There was some debate over this one on social media, but from the angle shown, there's not much doubt that the officials got the call right on this one. Pacioretty would finish the game with two goals, and now has 16 on the season for a total of 30 points in 28 games.
