Mike Babcock's job in the NHL is officially on the line due to the NHL's investigation.
Babcock's Job On The Line
The Mike Babock situation has taken the hockey world by storm and has resulted in a massive investigation from the NHL and the NHLPA.
To bring everybody up to speed, on the Spittin Chiclets podcast, former NHLers Paul Bissonnette and Ryan Whitney revealed that there were rumors of Mike Babcock going through his players' phones, which is illegal.
Subsequently, Babcock and his captain, Boone Jenner, released a statement regarding the matter.
Now, insider Darren Dreger revealed some massive information regarding the investigation and what could happen to Babcock.
Dreger's Shocking Insight
On TSN's First Up, Dreger said the following regarding the investigation.
"Based on the information that has been discovered and percolated to the surface in the last 48 hours, I think there's a chance Babcock's job could be in question... I'm not reporting or predicting it's going to happen, but there's a chance that happens." - Darren Dreger
It seems like there is new information coming up every hour. The NHL and the NHLPA are meeting today to discuss the matter and whether there will be any implications taken on Babcock.
