Hockey players during the offseason look to relax and unwind from a long season. One of the players' favorite ways to do so is by playing a round of golf. This popular hobby backfired on two of the Montreal Canadiens' biggest stars recently.

Montreal Star Duo Hit The Links

The pair of Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield decided to spend some free time playing a round of golf together. The two decided to hit up Memphrémagog Golf Club this past weekend.

The high-end golf club is known for having some specific rules when playing there. According to reports, there were a couple of rules that Suzuki and Caufield failed to follow that now have them in trouble.

Caufield And Suzuki Break The Rules

According to a report by Max Truman, the pair were out golfing with a couple of friends and decided to share a picture to their Instagram stories to document the round.

Unfortunately for the two stars, they broke multiple rules when doing this. The first is the course is not allowed to be photographed while playing. The second is that cell phones are banned from being allowed while playing a round. These infractions have left both Caufield and Suzuki in bad standing with the club and its 200 members.
The 2 photos shared on Instagram by Cole and Nick are among the very rare images taken and published at the Memphrémagog Golf Club in the last 20 years!

Believe me, it did not please many people so much so that the stories disappeared quite quickly.
The club and its members reportedly value the exclusivity immensely. While this will likely be the end of the public reports on this matter it will be interesting to see if either faces further discipline from the club or its members.
