Per Florida Panthers general manager Bill Zito, the team has signed forward Scott Wilson to a one-year, two-way contract.

Wilson, 28, spent the majority of the 2019-20 season in the AHL with the Rochester Americans, posting 11 goals and 11 helpers in 37 games. He also played in six games with the Sabres, scoring one goal and adding an assist. In three seasons total with the Sabres organization, he played in 70 games, putting up 19 points.

While Wilson certainly won't be a game changer for the Panthers, he provides them with nice depth in case of injuries. Prior to joining the Sabres, he spent time with the Detroit Red Wings and the Pittsburgh Penguins. To this point in his career, he has suited up for 193 regular season NHL games, posting 20 goals and 51 points. He has also played in an additional 23 postseason games, scoring three goals and six points.
