Wiesblatt signs entry-level contract with Sharks
San Jose Sharks first round pick, Ozzy Wiesblatt, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the team on Friday.

Wiesblatt was selected 31st overall in the 2020 NHL draft on October 6, and Doug Wilson Jr. used sign language to announce the pick for Ozzy's mom who is deaf.
"That means a ton, especially to my mom, and just the deaf community in general," Wiesblatt said after being selected. "It's just a very nice gesture for him to do. And my mom will never forget that."
The 18-year-old tallied 25 goals and 45 assists for 70 points with a plus-20 rating in 64 games, playing for Prince Albert of the Western Hockey League last season. He was second on the team in both assists and points, while also being third in goals. In his WHL career, he has put up 110 points (41 goals, 69 assists) in 129 games.
Wiesblatt will bring his speed and playmaking abilities to San Jose, where he will compete for a roster spot in the coming years. He has been known to be tenacious with and without the puck and has elite possession and offensive skills. The youngster should fit in excellently in San Jose.
