NHL Comes Together For GM David Poile's Hollywood Style Send Off
The Devils and Predators came together to make one final transaction for GM David Poile that resulted in a standing ovation from all of the NHL.
David Poile's Final Move
David Poile is one of the most respected figures in the NHL. He started his career as a General Manager back in 1982 with the Washington Capitals and has been the GM of the Nashville Predators since their inception back in 1997.
The New Jersey Devils and GM Tom Fitzgerald brokered a deal with the Nashville Predators in the 7th round of the 2023 NHL draft. Nashville acquired pick 218 in exchange for a 2024 7th round pick.
Following this transaction, Poile selected Aiden Fink from the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL.
After making his final move as the Predators GM, he received a standing ovation.
