The Chicago Blackhawks are set to host the Philadelphia Flyers in their final game of the 2022-23 season and it marks the end of the road for Jonathan Toews' time in 'The Windy City'.

General Manager Kyle Davidson announced on Thursday morning that captain Jonathan Toews will not be re-signed by the team and will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. This means that Toews will play his final game in a Blackhawks uniform on Thursday night.

The 34-year-old has spent his entire 15-year NHL career with the Blackhawks, who drafted him third overall back in 2006. In 1,066 games with Chicago, Toews has 882 points, adding 119 points in 137 games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Toews helped lead the Blackhawks to a trio of Stanley Cups during his time in Chicago, defeating Philadelphia in 2010, Boston in 2013 and Tampa Bay in 2015.

No matter where Toews goes this summer or if he opts to hang up the skates, he's had a remarkable career and there's no doubt we'll all be seeing him in the Hockey Hall of Fame in the not so distant future.
