Heavyweights throw haymakers in possible tilt of the season
Whether you like fighting in the game of hockey or not, you can't deny that it does 2 things: it gets the crowd into the game and it creates, or turns momentum.
Last night in the American Hockey League, the Abbotsford Canucks took on the Calgary Wranglers, with the Canucks up 2-0 almost halfway through the third period, if you're the Wranglers something has to change: queue Alex Gallant and Alex Kannok Leipert.
As soon as the gloves are down, these two players just get right after it, exchanging blow after blow. Trading shots until they both would eventually get tired.
The crowd and announcer reaction to those two player trading punched in this fast paced fight were incredible. For a smaller player Alex Kannok Leipert isn't afraid of anything either.
While I'm not a huge fan of staged fights as this one appeared to be, this fight was one of, if not the best I've seen all season long.
