Winnipeg Jets issue concerning statement, causing fans to ask questions about team's future
The Winnipeg Jets have had a rocky road since returning to Winnipeg in 2011. The team has has seasons where they've made the playoffs and been a good team, but those have been few and far between. At least, not what fans expected.
Today, the Winnipeg Jets sent out a statement asking people to buy season tickets and to say it has fans concerned would be an understatement.
In the statement, the Jets choice of words caused alarm bells to go off. They said they remained committed to the community, but it takes all of the fans as well.
The wording is strange to say the least, the Jets are essentially begging fans to buy season tickets.
This is strange to say the least, it's not every day you see a team ask for fans to buy season tickets while implying the team might move if they don't.
With all the talk of relocation and expansion in other markets, are the Winnipeg Jets in trouble?
They might not be, but the above statement is sure to cause concern either way.
