Calgary Flames eliminated from playoffs after last nights loss; questionable coaching decision to blame

The Calgary Flames had Stanley Cup aspirations before the season began, now they're out of playoff contention. One has to wonder among other things if Darryl Sutter is the right coach.

Last night, in a game that saw the Flames get eliminated from playoff contention, Sutter made a questionable decision that ultimately lead to them losing the game in a shootout.

Instead of going with Elias Lindholm, or Tyler Tofolli, Sutter elects to go with Nick Ritchie as the third player up in the shootout, which could've very well cost the Flames their season.

Listen, I know the Flames have been nothing short of horrid all season long and this game, even if they won didn't guarantee a playoff spot, but Sutter's inability to make the right decisions with game on the line, should be the reason he's not behind the bench for the Flames next season.
