Michael Bunting gets the softest misconduct call you'll ever see

Toronto Maple Leafs' Michael Bunting is known as a pest around the National Hockey League, but this might just be the worst call in league history.

Tonight at the end of the second period, Bunting was issued a 10 minute misconduct for nothing. If you don't believe me, here's the video:

I know Bunting is known for being a little bit of a disturber and that's fine. They want to call his game a little bit differently? That's fine too. Making up a 10 minute misconduct for skating over a discarded stick is absolutely atrocious.

The NHL has got to look into how their officials manage games. Make them available to the media after the games so they can explain their rationale. This kind of this is hard to watch. Officials have never been impartial and it's never been more evident than it has been this season.
