When you step onto to the ice, you know there's an inherent change a person gets hurt, wether it's from a bad hit, an awkward fall or anything in between, but when it actually happens, sometimes it can be rather heartbreaking.

Yesterday, early in the Minnesota Wild Vs Vegas Golden Knights game, a wild forward goes down awkwardly and can't put any weight on one of his legs while being helped off the ice:

Young Minnesota forward, Mason Shaw falls awkwardly at 15:41 of the first period and seemingly knows right away that it's very bad.

Shaw, 24, has had three previous knee injuries that he's made his way back from in order to play with the Wild this season. On this isolated look after the fact, you can tell he's worried.

The young forward is having a decent season for the wild, scoring 7 goals and adding 10 assists for 17 points in 59 games played.

Hopefully, for Shaw's sake this injury isn't too serious and he's able to return to the lineup in no time, but this was heartbreaking to watch.
