Paul Maurice explodes on his team after he wins coach's challenge
Tempers often flare in the National Hockey League, whether you're playing or coaching. Such was the case during the Florida Panthers Vs Toronto Maple Leafs game tonight. However, it's rare to witness a head coach lose his cool with his own players.
During an offside review in the second period, Paul Maurice unleashed his frustration on the Florida Panthers bench. The review went in Florida's favor, leaving the game tied at 1-1.
In a viral video, Maurice can be heard shouting, "You're playing like f****** b******!" This level of anger towards his own team is not usually shown in game?but it's not hard to see why. While at least one player on the Panthers came ready to battle, the rest of the team seemed to have checked out during the second period.
Maurice's outburst may have been necessary to wake up his team and get them back in the game. Only time will tell if his message was received loud and clear. If the Panthers fail to show up in the third period, one can only imagine how much angrier Maurice will become.
