Tonight's game between the Florida Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs has been a bit contentious so far, particularly early in the first period.

Matthew Tkachuk, a well-known troublemaker in NHL, has once again resorted to his usual antics. However, his attempt to draw a penalty was embarrassingly obvious this time around.
A video clip shows Justin Holl making contact with Tkachuk's shoulder after a whistle, and Tkachuk reacting as if he had been cross-checked in the face, complete with an exaggerated head whip.
Fortunately, the nearby official didn't fall for the deception and refrained from making a call. In fact, this has to be one of the worst embellishment attempts of the year.
While having a player like Tkachuk on your team can be beneficial for his ability to get under the opposition's skin, instances like these make coaches shake their heads in frustration.
