The Boston Bruins are the cream of the crop in the NHL today. After many suspected a difficult season with all their injuries to start off, the Bruins have completely dominated the NHL, suffering just 5 regulation losses in their first 47 games.

With Tuesday night's 4-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens, the B's now own the all-time NHL record for the fastest team to 80 points ever.

The Bruins also possess an NHL-best +83 goal differential, which leads the next best team by 41 goals (Dallas Stars, +42).

Under first-year head coach Jim Montgomery, the Bruins hold a 14-point lead on the Atlantic Division and the top spot in the NHL. They have been so dominant that there has been talk of managing captain Patrice Bergeron's ice-time so that he's fully healthy for playoffs.

The question has become: do the Bruins make any trade deadline moves at the risk of upsetting the chemistry of the team? According to CapFriendly, the Bruins (like 95% of teams) don't have the cap space to make a major move as things stand. GM Don Sweeney would need to move money out to bring money in and it's not even clear that they need to.

Still, other teams are likely planning to load up for this year's Stanley Cup Playoffs, so as a deterrent the Bruins likely make some kind of move. How drastic they are willing to go is the question.
