Evander Kane isn't the most popular guy in the NHL. This much is known.

There is an infamous story in which during his days with the Winnipeg Jets, Kane skipped a Winnipeg Jets game after attending a team meeting in a tracksuit, which was a violation of team policy.

As it turns out, Kane's teammate Dustin Byfuglien threw his clothes in the shower/hot-tub beforehand, leaving the then-23-year old without formal attire

That story was the powder keg that was Evander Kane's reputation-decline in and around the NHL, which has deteriorated considerably. One former teammate joined the The Cam & Strick Podcast and talked about their time together, and he didn't hold back.

A 14-year NHL veteran, Nik Antropov had choice words in recollection of Kane's early days in the league. He said that nobody had time for the 'young f---in' punk' and that Kane wouldn't listen to the veterans. As a result, Kane 'on his own all the time,' which likely had something to do with the aforementioned incident with teammate Dustin Byfuglien.

Kane has apparently found a home in Edmonton, though, which is a positive sign for the talented forward. No inter-locker room issues have surfaced to this point, and aside from some personal drama, he appears to have his act together.

Hopefully, he is able to drown out the noise and focus on winning a championship with the Oilers.
