During last night's Sharks versus Wild matchup, Mason Shaw was ejected for kneeing San Jose forward Evgeny Svechnikov. After having a hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Friday, it was determined the hit was worthy of a suspension.

Shaw will be serving a two-game suspension for the incident, and he will be eligible to return to the Wild's lineup in St. Louis on December 31st.

The Wild rookie has played mostly in the bottom-six, tallying 49 penalty minutes this season. The 24-year-old already had a questionable hit earlier in the season against the Sharks, hitting Radim Simek up high, which caused an injury. He was not punished for that hit, but he couldn't escape punishment this time.
