When meeting with the media on Friday afternoon, Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis announced that forward Michael Pezzetta will return to the lineup on Friday night against the Dallas Stars.
To make room in the lineup, St. Louis added that 33-year-old forward Evgenii Dadonov will be a healthy scratch for the second time in less than a week. Last Saturday, Dadonov found himself in the press box as the Canadiens took on the Tampa Bay Lightning.
This season, the Chelyabinsk (Russia) native has been a fraction of the player he was while with the Vegas Golden Knights and the Florida Panthers. In 28 games for the Canadiens, Dadonov has seven points (two goals, five assists), ten penalty minutes and is a minus-eight.
Puck drop for tonight's game between the Canadiens and the Dallas Stars is set for 8 p.m. ET.
